NEWS Word for Word All Aunt Hagar's Children, a Word for Word/Z Space production, runs November 19 though December 11 at Z Space/Theater Artaud. Stephanie recently appeared in Word for Word's production of Colm Tóibín's story Silence and Emma Donoghue's story Night Vision. In Silence, Stephanie played Irish writer, translator, poet, and playwright Lady Gregory, who was one of the founders and directors of the Abbey Theater in Dublin. Night Vision is the story of the childhood of the Irish poet, Frances Browne; Stephanie played her sister, Fanny. Stephanie directed Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard at the Conservatory Theater Ensemble at Mt. Tamalpais High School. Profile for Stephanie Hunt I am a theater actor, and teach acting and voice in the San Francisco Bay Area. Also, I direct plays both professionally and at the university level. I am a Charter Member of the theater company Word for Word at the Z Space. We perform short stories as fully staged and produced theater productions. I have acted at Berkeley Repertory Theater, Magic Theater and the Aurora Theater among others. I have a Masters of Fine Arts from the American Conservatory Theater, and am a certified Associate Instructor of Fitzmaurice Voicework ®. |
